Migraine

Using PERT for Migraine Treatment

Transcript

(Recorded in March 2002 at a PERT seminar in Perth, Australia.)

Man:
Roland, what results have you had with migraine with PERT?
Roland:
Migraine -- you can roughly say it's the same result as with acupuncture. It depends, really, on the origin of the migraine. And it depends on the energy of the person. If you can boost the energy to a level where it overcomes the blockage and the stagnation, it will have a good effect. If the blockage is too strong, as we see in a certain percentage of patients, then the energy might not be enough to overcome the blockage. For example, reason for a migraine or any tension headaches can be a very tight bra, cuttin in. You know you see when you take the bra off in the evening you see like a belly where the bra was. Well it does over time because its microhematoma in the connective tissue that causes small -- You know when it presses all the time, it gives you hematoma. But you do not see the hematoma because it's only happening in the connective tissue. This hematoma, we call it blood stasis, or you call it blockage. Now you see that hematoma or blood stasis is very very significant; it depends if the energy is enough to go through these. If it goes through, it will have a good effect. Just an example -- Important: I would not use the mat on the head for migraine, ok? I would not use the mat -- I would stop about here, with the mat, on that level, where the neck starts. Don't go higher. Because there is still a field extending along beyond the mat. There is still a field, but it's getting weaker and weaker and weaker. And we do not want to have a strong stimulant on the brain. Very important: a lot of migraines have their origin here, in this area -- just on the base of the skull. So if you put it up to here, the field you get there is good enough. But migraine is very individual. The results are individual. We see a lot of improvements, but we also see some patients who do not respond. And we have the same with acupuncture. And sometimes people use acupuncture and combine it with the mat, and the results get better. It really is an individual problem. It also depends if a person is that overweight, you know weighs one hundred kilos; there is no energy flow in this body anymore. Then it really depends if the energy build-up is a certain percentage you get out of here in addition to your existing life energy. Another ten, fifteen percent is a lot of life energy. Is this increase enough to make you energy circulate a lot, and for some people it --

What is migraine?

According to the medical dictionary 'migraine' means headache. This however only describes the main symptom of the migraine. All those who suffer from migraine know that it is a far more tormenting illness.

Complexity of migraine

Migraines only occur on one side of the head, all of a sudden, often in the early hours of the morning. Firstly, one of the arteries of the temple contracts. Then the individual notices that vision is impaired and everything he looks at is blurred. Additionally, black triangles flicker in front of his eyes. First the tongue becomes numb then the fingers or even a whole arm. The patient cannot tolerate light or even noise as he is extremely sensitive to it. The typical half-sided headache occurs. They are can be so unbearably piercing, hammering and pulsating that one does not dare to move the head.

The person experiences nausea, which can result in continuous vomiting until the stomach is empty and then the person dry-retches without the feeling easing. Additionally the hammering in the head persists leaving the sensation that the head would burst.

This can last for hours, sometimes for days. At times the patient lies in bed, with a swollen and discolored face, almost unconscious. However, these extreme effects of migraine are only rare.

Migraine is a lack of circulation of the brain cells

The migraine attack is caused by a contracted artery, which supplies the brain. This so called spasm causes a lack of circulation in smaller or bigger parts of the brain, depending on the size of the area the artery normally supplies with blood. The affected parts of the brain cannot function properly, because they are starved of blood.

What causes this lack of circulation?

Hormonal reasons are often stated as a causing factor. This is comprehensible, since many women suffer from migraine during every period, but not after menopause. At the same time, climatic changes, psychological stress, medication and stimulants are being held responsible for the onset of migraine.

A special form of migraine is the so-called "migraine cervical". A degenerative disease of the cervical vertebral column, which results in a reduced circulation of blood to the brain, constricts arteries leading to the brain.

What happens to the body during a migraine attack?

In the beginning the brain artery is blocks spasmodically. After a certain time the artery is suddenly widened to its maximum due to the nerve regulation processes. One would think that finally the blood could flow, however, if arteries and capillaries are widened to a maximum, the blood also stops flowing. The so-called stases (congestion) is similar to a creek coming to a standstill when flowing into a dam. During these stases, blood and some blood cells leave the small arteries. A swelling of the tissue, so-called collateral's edema, is formed,. This aggravates the lack of supply, which has a particularly bad effect on the brain.

The lack of oxygen increases in the brain. The blood cells in the arteries become weak and start to clot. A micro thrombosis results, which also spreads. The brain cells are starved of oxygen even more and therefore the hammering in the head continues. It is a vicious cycle.

PERT (Pulsating Energy Resonance Therapy) can stop this vicious cycle. PERT affects the vessels, which are cramped due to the nervous system. PERT has a cramp releasing effect on all nerves and an harmonising effect on the inkretorische glands, and those which are responsible for the production of the female hormones.

PERT combats stases and its effects on the brain. PERT disintegrates the edema and increases the blood flow in the arterioles and capillaries. The effect of improved blood circulation through pulsating electro magnetic fields has been known to science for 30 years, however it has hardly been utilised by modern medicine.

PERT also has an antithrombotic effect, causing the blood clot to dissolve. The blood vessels open again for uninterrupted blood flow. At the same time an increase of oxygen content in the blood can be measured, as proven in tests at the University of Wuppertal and Saarbruecken. The supply to the cells of the brain with desperately needed oxygen is increased.

Fast pain relief with PERT

The healing effect of PERT during a migraine attack is astonishing for the patient as well as the doctor. A migraine attack can be stopped with PERT. Dr. Doepp in Salzburg puts his patients (during a migraine attack) with their head on the pillow applicator and treats them with program 4 on the highest intensity (8). He has had very good success with it.

Modern medicine has no solution

In the past conservative modern medicine had hardly anything to offer the treatment of migraine. The different forms of migraine have been classified in detail, but without being able to offer a solution to the patient. Often recommended pain-killers have hardly any therapeutic effect. Ergotamine products are most likely to ease the pain, as long as the patient can keep them to a minimum.

With all the known migraine medication, the side effects are of concern.

PERT for prevention

The causing factors for migraine can be positively effected and stopped by PERT. PERT can even stop a migraine before it occurs. Doctors of EMS have documented more than 80% effectiveness of PERT for treating migraine

Free of migraine for 3 years

Dr. Sch., ear/nose/throat specialist, had suffered from terrible migraine for years. For two days each month she was unable to work although and had tried everything. In May 1995 she was introduced to PERT. She was rather skeptical, but tried PERT regardless and was certainly rewarded. After starting the home therapy she only had one weak attack, and no more after that. She uses PERT regularly now twice a day for 8 minutes as a permanent preventative therapy.
